![]() Plenty to see, models my husband thought were amazing, took him back to his childhood. My normally moody teens loved it! Tanks, guns, large lorries and things and all sorts for them to really understand a bit of our history - not an easy thing to accomplish in this day and age. Its great to visit The Muckleburgh Military Collection and we really enjoyed our visit there.īy the time we left there was queues out the door and down the path so i'd suggest you do as we did and if your planning a visit on a rainy day get there early to avoid the crowds a bit.Īll in all including our trip to the canteen we spent about three and a half, maybe four, hours there and it was worth every single penny. There's a play area outside for the little ones but as it was pouring down we obviously didn't go out there but it'd be nice on a sunny day for sure. By the time we left the canteen it was heaving! a little tip maybe, the canteen gets busy, very busy, especially on rainy days so it's probably worth getting there about 12:00 or even a touch earlier. We visited the canteen as well for lunch, bacon and Mushroom baguettes with chips and a drink as well for about a tenner each, friendly service and food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it either. I must also give a special mention to the section where all the models are, an absolutely fantastic addition to the collection i can only wonder at how many thousands of hours went into making them all. ![]() ![]() ![]() We had a great wander round the collection, there is a LOT to see and it's not just Tanks and lorries and such like, there's genuine military history on display as well. We arrived about 09:30 for a 10:00 entry and the car park was empty, we knew it was due to rain all day so this visit is the ideal choice, we got a friendly welcome from the lady sorting out the tickets and i was genuinely surprised that there were only another 2 or three families in the queue behind us. The collection has a new layout and is MUCH better for it, as ever its a solid morning or afternoon out. We've been to The Muckleburgh Military Collection a few times before but not for about 4 years until this visit. ![]()
